Called Doug to help after my AC started behaving oddly. He showed up same day and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Doug quickly diagnosed my issue and fixed it very quickly at a very fair price. Doug was helpful and seemed to genuinely want to make sure I was happy and that everything worked well.By contrast, I had called one of the larger companies who immediately suggested I needed a salesman and a replacement without even offering any alternatives. Doug was recommended too me a few years back when I was living in Brooklyn. Not only did he fix my problem but he saved me from unnecessarily replacing my furnace. His $400 bill for a part was better than the $8,000 solution offered by two other local firms.Same thing a year later when my HVAC stopped working. It took him less than an hour to work out the issue, order the part and returned the next day to fix it.The man is honest and someone who I trust. Doug came to my place on the coldest night of the year when my furnace failed . I have two young girls and it was minus 22 .It was a Saturday and my main furnace motor was completely seized . I needed a new one. Unfortunately we couldn’t get one . Doug’s knowledge was so experienced and he is so prepared that he took the motor off and had enough parts handy to rebuild and get my house back in order in which was an emergency . Today “repair people “ are replace people . Not Doug , he is old school and fix things and get you going again . I had a similar situation with my AC where he found me a motor or (again) but it wasn’t an emergency with sub zero temperatures...read full review
