    I was working for a company that subcontracted from this company. and because of everything that happened bad between the two companies. I mean the subcontracted company and Toronto Roofing. It ended up costing me $900 of my week's pay. I am a single father and can't afford to pay something like that given I live in my own apartment and have my own truck and pay my own way in this world. that $900 I lost was basically taken from my daughter and any of her school supplies in anything that she would have just going to get for her school year and her upcoming birthday. not to mention I'm no longer working for the subcontractor company and it has forced me... read full review

    As an ex employee for the company I have to say I have never more disappointed and disgusted with the owners Maciej & Erika. Just a little piece of advice to all who consider working for the company as either a employee or subcontractor for cash and not on the books. Make sure to get in writing your agreed payment as discussed before you start the job, include all details in the contract. I wasn’t so smart and fell for the nice guy routine and now I’m currently at a loss for $700. I have called, left messages and unfortunately even left some nasty messages and still have not received so much as a phonecall.     This is the worst service experience I have ever had in my life. The work on my roof wasn't undertaken until over 4 months later than promised. Furthermore, it was a botched job from beginning to end. My house is a small Victorian row house in Cabbagetown. Since it is attached on both sides, it is a situation that requires some finesse. I had heard that M and R Roofing had done a lot of work in Cabbagetown and figured they would be used to this kind of situation. Wrong. The workers they sent over threw pieces of the roof indiscriminately to the untarped, unprotected ground, destroying my garden (even though my tenant kept protesting and sending me pictures).
