About The Salvation Army Thrift Store
The Salvation Army Thrift Store at Bloor & Brock offers a well-organized shopping experience with a variety of pre-loved goods, including clothing, accessories, housewares, and electronics. Customers value the fair prices and regular special discount days, such as senior discounts. The store encourages donations of gently used items, with a convenient drop-off area and a coupon system for future purchases. Many shoppers have found unique treasures, including authentic high-end designer items like Hermes and Gucci, especially if they have an eye for it. The staff are friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While some recent visitors noted that the store is small, with disorganized racks and a slightly dirty feel, others still find it a good place to look for valuable finds, especially since nearby stores are closing. Although the clothing section has grown and some have been disappointed with the quality lately, the store's community support and friendly staff make it a worthwhile destination for both shopping and donating.
I've found some pretty solid clothing items here for a great price. All staff I've interacted with are very kind and friendly. I wish the place was better organized. From the perspective of someone who donates, I'm more willing to support this store than VV because they do actually price items like second hand and staff is nicer.
i love this location. there are always great books for very good prices (i just wish they were sorted a bit better). all of the kitchen ware and knick knacks are sorted by colour. you can try it all the electronics, and there are often some really good finds.
the staff are nice and accommodating. i also like that they provide reusable bags for free.
I find this place a bit pricey but that could be because the shopping experience isn't nice - the racks are overstuffed, the space is cramped, some of the bags had previous owner stuff inside (chapstick, tissue - yuck) and no changing rooms. Staff are pleasant.
