Highly highly recommend the beginner silversmith workshop! The instructors are super kind, patient, very very experienced, and easy to get along with. Classes are 3 hours every week. You learn a TON and have a bunch of fun, and also get to meet cool people with similar interests. Not to mention you leave the end of the 6 weeks with an awesome sterling silver ring that you made entirely yourself. Absolute beginners and folks with some limited experience making jewellery will find it's the perfect learning environment. TDW was recommended to me by a trusted friend who had worked with Sarah before on their own engagement / wedding rings, so I went in with already positive expectations.
Admittedly being myself fairly clueless in this territory, Sarah made every step of the process feel comfortable and easy. She (and her staff) made this process as smooth and painless — in fact, quite fun — as possible. I had some reference photos of things I knew my fiancé would like, and they took those and quickly developed a unique ring design that was entirely her own. She is obsessed with it — thank you for helping me make sure she got what she deserves!

The Devil's Workshop is the place to realise your vision in perfect form.
We worked with Sarah to design and create a custom engagement ring and paired wedding band. I'll go on, but the TL;DR is that it came to life more perfectly than we could have hoped. We will be going back to get my ring designed and made.
The longer story, we found the shop randomly, looking for custom work in Toronto and trying to find a designer that would be able to work with a lot of non-traditional asks, and bring it all together in style. Sarah's portfolio is diverse and entirely stunning.
