Meltwater

Unbelievably aggressive on both the front end and the back end. They mass spam email anyone who they even think *might* be tangentially related to their clients, don't honour unsubscribe requests, and are generally awful. If you want to promote something, use a different company -- I like many others have a negative impression of Meltwater and even if they sent a press release for something actually relevant (which they never do because they email people without having any idea who they are or what their business actually does) I would refuse to cover it on principle.

Meltwater deserves a special place in hell for their misleading and aggressive sales tactics for software that's of very limited value. They seem to bump up their SEO so people don't read their Better Business Bureau C- and 1/5 reviews.

This company seems like it offers a great product, but their sales people will not take no for an answer. After deciding against this software and informing them they continued to reach out. Despite emailing me while I was on vacation and getting my out of office message they also left me several voice messages and sent several emails with high pressure "sign up by the end of the month" deals - again we had already told them we had gone in another direction. I had to ask to be removed from their lists 5 times (4 by email and once by phone). Unless you're prepared to be harassed I would not bother reaching out to this company.
