The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world's leading research centres in its field. CAMH is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and is a Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization Collaborating Centre.

Someone going house to house at 8:40pm on a weekday to ask for donation is not appropriate, this has happened to me more than once which is why I’m writing this, I know the foot soldiers are usually very Caring and lovely, they are doing their jobs and I understand that’s when people are home, but my daughter was sleeping the doorbell rang and my dog went crazy, cringe. this was after a tough day for us, finally trying to relax. luckily she kept sleeping, just a friendly reminder the mental health of community members potentially donating is just as important as those you are treating.
During COVID times it was hard to move out of my small town in search of more services. The people at CAMH understood my needs and helped me achieve them. Dr. Z is really cool for helping me find housing while dealing with my medical needs.All in all, if you put in 50 percent effort they will cover the other half, sometimes more.If you're Canadian don't be deterred by the dream. It's your right.
