I was born and raised in Saskatchewan but I spent the last 30 years living and working as an Engineer in South East Asia.. I moved back to Canada in January 2022 i’m new to Toronto and one day i happened to be driving my scooter down St Claire Ave W and I happened to notice BrazyKuts and went in. NeLucky for me,Carlos had a bit of time before his next client so was able to squeeze me in for a shave and a haircut. The first thing I noticed was the great vibe. One of the barbers made a comment to everyone in the shop that his girlfriend had said that she needed more space or something to that affect and he waswondering what that meant. His client sad to him that it meant the relationship in was over. One of the other barbers said to him that he should just, move on. Another chimed in that he could do no better and a he should do everything in his power to woo her back and so on and so forth. I was watching Nate and Claira give amazing haircuts and when I left I knew I would return . I returned the following week and learned that G was to be my barber. A young man for sure but he has been working full time as z barber and he is very very good. I salute any man who can give a straight razor shave week after week to a Guy with Parkinson’s disease and never once nick him. I began to notice how important this shop was to the community. This was almost a year before I found out that it was one of Laura and Carlos goals. I wanted to support this i. any way you i could. . The first thing I did was learn everybody’s name. i drew a quick map of the shop that showed where all the barber chairs were. i had Laura add the names. then I decided that I needed to take care of my barber and the rest of the team with small gestures. Everybody is welcome and I am particularly impressed with how they handle children. One day i watched Carlos give a haircut to a young boy. The boy was obviously happy to be there. Not only. wax he getting a super cool haircut that he could not wait to show his friends, but Carlos gave the. boy his undivided attention and was speaking to him man to man. The boys mother had a huge smile. Brazykuts. what’s not to like
