Client for over 7 years and refused care because of a complaint I made "made staff uncomfortable" Major red flag! Unprofessional, rude and not worth their cheap prices - After my dog had rectal surgery, despite my verbal refusal multiple times with the doctor, she performed a rectal exam anyway. My dog was left in obvious pain, and expressing my concerns means I'm no longer welcome in this clinic. If you expect competent, consent-based care, go elsewhere.

I can't recommend Dr. Koroknai, and all of the staff, highly enough. After being quoted an exorbitant amount for dental surgery for our cat at another vet, I began researching alternatives. The wonderful reviews at Bathurst Dupont lead me to take our cat there. The dental cleaning and surgery ended up being a fraction of the price of the other vet and the care we received was excellent. We decided to stay. Over the years we received superb care. Every test and treatment were carefully, patiently explain, no upselling or pressure, and reasonably priced. When our cat became chronically ill, we were able to have another two good years with him due to biweekly treatments. The staff there were always happy to see our cat and were very kind at every visit. Dr. Koroknai very obviously loves animals and is gentle and thoughtful in the way he engages with them. He truly cares about their quality of life. In the end, at the age of 19 when our cat finally passed, we were treated with much compassion and kindness. I recommend them whole-heartedly.

. UPDATE The cat I brought in 5-6 times to get his glucose under control and regulated ended up having 5-6 seizures one night and when I took him to the emergency the dr there informed me his sugar was 0.7 and asked how much insulin I was giving. I told her I was instructed to give him 5 units 2 times a day which she said was a human dose and shouldn't have been given. I've met a few ppl who after going were also told their animals were diabetic and had issues. My other cat who was also a patient there fell I'll and they refused to see her because I had questions about the previous cat's dose of insulin. They told me to find another place and that they couldn't take her even though they are less than 1 km from me and it was so bad she ended up in ICU at the pet hospital but she is 100% better now. There's a lot of shadiness here and when I asked to come in and speak to the vet I was left a msg of condolence at 7am and no cal back. Just my 2cents but if you love your pet stay away. The original cat I wrote about had to be put down because they didn't know if he had any brain damage from all the seizures
