The shop is exceptional! They take the job that nobody, even dealership wouldn't and succeed. I'm a wrench monkey myself but the work on my A8 automatic transmission is a Houdini level. All of that for 25% of just parts price that the dealer wanted for replacement transmission.
Accepting an old car to repair has inherent risk of other failures - in my case the speed sensor that was reinstalled failed a couple days later - got to call tow and fixed myself. That is not their fault. But be aware - if it was someone less tech-savvy than me it would probably result in negative review. So - take my word: the shop deserves utmost respect!
Matt was an absolute pleasure to deal with, especially after working with the criminals at Mercedes Benz on the Queensway. He was patient, detail oriented, and took note of all the symptoms of the vehicle instead of being dismissive.
The job got done ahead of schedule and at a very fair price. He was the only mechanic to understand the importance of a transmission flush, as the other places disregarded it due to the low KMs.

I just had a fantastic 'old-school' experience with Toronto Automatic Transmission, and can highly recommend this shop. I brought my Mini Cooper there with an issue, which was quickly diagnosed and resolved. I describe this as old-school because both of the gentlemen who assisted me were very professional, courteous and honest, and equally impressive, the shop itself is neatly organized and kept extremely tidy. I'm sure there are others who will also appreciate this detail; an owner who cares about his business typically also cares about his customers.
