Toronto Automatic Transmission rebuilt the transmission on my BMW E38 740i and did a fantastic job. They also helped diagnose and fix a torque converter balance issue after the fact. They are experts and great to work with.
Got a quote here for transmission repair. They checked out my car for free. They suggested I could drive my car around for several more months before I needed the repair and I could simply come in when my car was worse and the repair cost would be the same. Appreciate the honest advice.
I called TAT late on a Thursday afternoon after being informed by 2 other transmission shops that based on a check engine light scan code that my cars transmission required a complete rebuild at a cost of $3200 - $4200+ tax...no questions about obvious symptoms while driving and no test drive.
I asked for an appointment for the following day and Alex told me no appointment was necessary, just come on down the following day and he would look at it.
When I arrived Alex scanned it and reported that he saw no issues as a result of the scan. He then asked to take it for a test drive. Five minutes later he was back and said he found no evidence of transmission problems...read full review
