Value Village is a thrift store offering a wide variety of used clothing, accessories, and household goods. I used to resent the prices compared to the Salvation Army; but really, thank goodness a successful secondhand box store exists. Do not support a throwaway culture. Find authentic clothes here.
I understand the staff supervising the self check out but the way they had three staff hovering over me today cashing out was overwhelming and off putting. I was getting flustered cashing out as 3 different people interacted with me during the few minutes of me cashing out. I've never felt so micromanaged when cashing out at a self checkout.
While I like the wide range of items available at this Value Village location, there are also some downsides. You can find some good quality clothes but be careful what condition some of them are in. For example, I bought a pair of leggings that at closer inspection at home had an overwhelming smell of smoke attached to them (which didn't come off). A lot of the footwear they sell (especially sneakers) are in a pretty worn condition. Still, you can find some good items in the books, games, kitchen ware, tech and sports sections! Just inspect your items closely before you buy!
