I first met Lois by chance when I walked into the Whitby Tile House location, completely clueless and overwhelmed—it was my first time in a tile store and nothing was organized by size or colour, the way I expected. Lois immediately stepped in and spent over an hour walking me through the different types of tiles, explaining the pros and cons, sizes, and what the store had to offer. I was so relieved to learn that her main location was actually Pickering. Since that first visit, I’ve returned to see Lois at the Pickering store on numerous occasions.
