Local, seasonal vegetables and other food stuffs like pickled beans. Like all farmers, they are at the mercy of the weather so quantity and quality of the veggies vary. Convenient location in the city, near the highway. Loads of pumpkins every year.
I'm so thankful for Kiwan farms. I love to buy fresh fruits and vegetables that are really from Ottawa; that's mean less chemicals and preservatives. Thank you so much for your hard work!
Went to their location on Huntclub rd and Hawthorn Rd in Ottawa to purchased 60 pounds of beets for pickling. This was my first time at their store. It was end of day but the owner advised he would have them ready or me in a few days. I returned a few days later and was very happy to get cleanest and freshest beets I have purchased in years. The price was also reasonable. I have purchased large quantities of beets from a few different local farms in recent years, but Kiwan farms gave me the best service and experience as well the cleanest and freshest vegetable by far. I will certainly buy from them again.
