Great service. They have some excellent products there as well. Everyone who works there is caring and professional with you. It is nice to find a place in Ottawa you feel comfortable with anyone doing your hair. They do a few extras that if you don't go to a barber on a regular basis you wouldn't even know you wanted. I highly recommend this place!

I first started going to the Slater Street Imperial Barber Shop over a year ago because it was close to where I worked and was open early. I don't even work downtown anymore, but I still go out of my way to get my hair cut here. I once got the time of my appointment wrong and it seriously ruined my day (but IBS was quick to schedule me in the next day). IBS has NEVER done me wrong. Ever. Barber Jeff Gilby is the Maestro of fades and cuts, scissors and razors his instruments. He actually competes in barbershop competitions and kills it. Had a wedding in Ottawa and decided to get a professional shave for the event. I was fortunate to find this spot, which accepts walkins. Alexandre was fantastic. This man is a perfectionist and I'll be coming back every time I'm in Ottawa.
