I ordered select maple flooring from Allied flooring to be finished on site. They were properly acclimated in my home and when my installer started the install he found the boards were not milled well. He asked me if I bought remnants or something that had been sitting around for years. That was not the case and when I presented the evidence to Joe, I just got the runaround that the owner wasn't available and to come back. I put my whole house on hold for months, waiting, not realizing that no one was ever getting back to me. I could not afford new floors and what a waste! and I wasn't getting any help from Allied. Allied shipped us the wrong product that didn't match the samples! That's not what we ordered. We don't want it, but Allied refuses to take it back and to give us a refund. Every time we contact them, the boss is either out of town or otherwise unavailable.

My husband and I are in the middle of building a custom home. When we first met Joe, we explained our requirements for the hardwood we are looking for. We’re building a modern house and we wanted maple floors with minimal variation and a minimalist look. He showed us a bunch of samples and we told him what we liked and what we’re looking for. He gave us a recommendation and we asked for a box to ensure we like what we’re buying. My husband went to the store and picked up 4 pieces from the box and the boards looked fantastic.
