“I had my first massage appointment with Mikaela last week, and it was absolutely the best massage experience I've ever had.
I have a lot of chronic muscle tension and pain, and Mikaela was took the time to understand what my issues were and discuss with me how we could best use the appointment time to work on specific areas. They were very kind and welcoming and made sure I was comfortable through the whole appointment. She checked in about pressure levels throughout the massage and adjusted as needed. When working on my neck, they also let me know that one of the areas we were working on could have the possibility of giving me a headache afterwards and made sure I was comfortable going ahead and working on that area.
After the massage, Mikaela took the time to show me some stretches to help when I start to feel tightness in my low back. She also advised me to hydrate well, take it easy for the next 24 hours, and when to use ice vs heat if I had any soreness or tenderness following the massage.
The massage left me very relaxed and so much less stiff and painful than when I had walked in. My partner even noted that I was walking more smoothly and standing straighter then I had been prior to my appointment. Mikaela is an amazing massage therapist and I'm looking forward to booking my next visit when I am able!
The clinic itself is very clean, quiet, and relaxing, and the receptionist was also very friendly and welcoming. I had a great experience!”
