Unfortunately, damage was significant and the data was unrecoverable with tools available to GCOM. However, Jacob was very clear in what could and would be done throughout and made the transition to a new laptop much easier, given I did have backup data from earlier in the year. He was also very fair in final billing given the remedial work done and advice provided as repairs were attempted. Given the unfortunate situation, I am nonetheless pleased with the expertise shown and efforts made - GCOM is a reputable and capable computer service shop that I will not hesitate to use in future, hopefully though for something far less significant to resolve.“
