Got told I had 3 emergency visits with the counselor I was seeing because my time with her ended. Called to use one of those emergency visits only to be told by the receptionist that I have to watch the intro video and be on a wait list to see her. Don't get me wrong, the doctors and counselors are incredible, but that is making it so much harder than needed.

My family had a deeply upsetting experience at this office. During an appointment, the doctor made assumptions about my loved one based on his disability (autism and mental health) despite not seeing him regularly. She misgendered him multiple times and dismissed his legal name, saying it “wasn’t his actual name,” even though it has been legally changed. Without cause, she began recording him, opened the door, and stood in his personal space. When he stood up in response, she labeled him as “aggressive.” He was not being rude or threatening, and his mother was present the entire time and witnessed everything. The situation was escalated by the doctor herself, yet my loved one was the one made to feel unsafe and blamed. A report was filed because the experience had a significant emotional impact on him. After waiting for a response and being told an investigation was underway, he later met with a caseworker—only to be told nothing about the doctor’s conduct and instead be warned that he would be “let go” if anything like this happened again. For an office that serves vulnerable, low-income patients, this was especially disheartening. Trans and disabled patients deserve dignity, understanding, and trauma-informed care. Being labeled and punished for a situation created by a professional in a position of power is harmful. I hope this office reflects on how vulnerable patients are treated and ensures that accountability applies to staff as well as patients.

Had an appointment for 8:45- left at 10am without being seen! Unacceptable and disrespectful. When I asked what took so long the receptionist said … SHE FORGOT TO LET THE NURSE KNOW I WAS THERE! Unacceptable. I’m so hurt.

Despite having an appointment, I still waited over an hour… It cut into my work day and I got in trouble over this.

We went in search for help after our son fractured his wrist, as we couldn’t afford the full treatment at the hospital. That’s when we visited the NFCHC and found Nurse Practitioner Singh. She was the best help we could have asked for. She was incredibly thoughtful and truly cared about our family’s well-being. We are deeply grateful for her support and would definitely recommend her services at the NFCHC.

I am using a friend to write this for me as I don't speak English. My appologies for a long story but I need to say this. I recently gave birth to a baby and had horrible experience with hospital and overall Healthcare. I went to niagara falls community health centre for my new born's care where I met this amazing lady dr. Singh. She immediately recognized that my own health was bad and offered to see me. She liyteraly saved my life. She is no less than Angel. I wish there were more professionals like her, very knowledgeable, skilled still very humble and welcoming. She treats you like a human.God bless her always.

This is Sherry Bain. So once again the wheel is spinning but the hamster is dead. The one receptionist needs to be schooled on professionalism in regards to dealing with people at a medical facility. I worked as a Reg N for 30 yrs and never have seen such blatant disregard for pt confidential. Her demeaning attitude with a false sense of superiority comment, ‘ Now was that so hard’, when I gave her more information. I really think it’s time for a visit to the pet store
