Great service so friendly..

We are absolutely heartbroken and beyond disappointed with our experience.
Your posted hours say you are open until 6:00 p.m., yet when we called at 5pm with our dog in serious distress, we were told the last veterinarian had already left at 4:30 p.m. Because of this, our dog—who was suffering from a twisted stomach—had to endure another hour-long drive to an emergency clinic while in excruciating pain.
She did not survive and We had to make the heartbreaking decision to put her down.
Had Heartland Animal Hospital, that is only 20 minutes away, actually had a veterinarian available during the hours they advertise, our girl could have been assessed much sooner. Even if the outcome had ultimately been the same, she would not have had to suffer through an additional hour of agonizing pain.
Advertising that you're open until 6:00 p.m. when no veterinarian is available after 4:30 p.m. is incredibly misleading. In an emergency, every minute matters. No family should have to experience what we did because they believed a veterinary hospital would provide care during its posted hours.
We will never get that lost time back with our beloved dog, and neither will she. That is unacceptable.

I went to this clinic on Tuesday around 5 on16th after my dog had a concerning medical episode after falling and I was very worried. I explained the situation and begged them to see her after a while of begging receptionist said to wait ,receptionist was rude and just ugly energy person. After waiting about 10 minutes and hoping my dog would be seen, I was then told that the veterinarian would not examine her because the clinic was closing(and yes we are registered in their clinic). I begged them to see her but they are heartless and inhumane just because I did not have a appointment they would not see her.How in hell would I make a appointment when I did not know that my poor puppy would fall and hurt herself. Shame on you ...heartless human being of a vet ....I just wish you all the pain of all the animals you did not help. Horrible human beings.On top of all that receptionist starts pushing me for vaccines while I am crying about hurt puppy. .What kind of vet does not help crying puppy.??? I help animals that I find on the street and you do not help animal that comes into your office ...what kind of heartless vet are you??you should be ashamed of yourself,you should not be working with animals. What goes around comes around and hopefully it comes back to you million times worse .

I have used Heartland Niagara Animal Hospital in the past and find them to be VERY pushy, aggressive and constantly trying to upsell, very high pressure. Every time I leave there, I feel my pet is not in their best interest, but the almighty dollar is.

I’ve been to so many vets and all the girls at Heartland have my full trust. I’ve met so many people here and they are all so wonderful. All of the doctors are so patient and more than happy to walk you through every question you might have. This is the only place I now trust with my Sphynx kitties, they’re my whole world.

Wow. All I can say is wow. Suddenly my elderly dog had come to the end of her life. The compassion, care, understanding that the people here showed. It felt as if my dog had a family and they showed up. Everything about saying goodbye to a pet is as difficult as it gets. The Heartland Vet people are by far superior to any I’ve met in the past. As a 42 year old male. Saying goodbye to an elderly bulldog. They made everything as smooth and comforting as possible. Even after the small things they do are so far above and beyond. They really made remembering my live amazing. I appreciate and highly recommend the is clinic. Currently my puppies both one year are attended to by this vet. They are all amazing there.

They truly care for your pet. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to care for my sick dog. They are truly awesome. They care for my diabetic cat. He’s turning 19 this year. Found out my dog is diabetic and I’m sure they are going to just as good as a job caring for her. I never worry about her when she’s in for a hospital stay. You know they truly care for your pet

Hands down the best clinic in the region. Could not recommend heartland enough to anyone looking for a great vet. The staff have been a dream to work with. Our previous vets have been very hesitant and unwilling to work with our American bully, and this couldn’t be further from the case here.
Big shoutout to one tech in particular, Crystina, for treating our pup so great and educating us along the way.
Could not be any happier with heartland and the help they provided for our big boy.

Heartland is definitely a team who are doing exactly what they should be doing! Each and every member of this team showing constant compassion, professionalism, love for what they do..??. Dr Jess, Dr Natalie, Cassidy, Emily, Bianca, Nikki, Joanne, Christina…to name a few…you all hold such a special place in our hearts. I know Meeka is in the best hands!
