Don’t use a coupon at this place if you want a good haircut. Especially the birthday one. You will have bad hair for your birthday!

I had a disappointing experience at the Newmarket location of Sport Clips on December 7th, 2024 around 10:30 AM. To put it bluntly, I received one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever had experienced.
Although I just needed a basic cut, it still was a quite bad—uneven, not very well executed, and showing a clear lack of basic skill or attention to detail. While I didn’t want to confront the stylist at the time and risk embarrassing her in front of her peers, I feel it’s only fair to share this feedback so others are aware and management can take note.
Adding to the frustration was the overly complicated process just to get a haircut. Being forced to create a profile felt unnecessarily tedious and invasive for such a simple service. A haircut should not require jumping through hoops or dealing with a convoluted system. Also, it seemed a little bizarre in terms of atmosphere, with weird service offering names (Varsity, MVP) and decor due to over emphasis on sports themes.
This experience left me not only dissatisfied but questioning the overall training, professionalism, and quality control at this location. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to reconsider before trusting this establishment with their hair.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews however, I feel I need to. My wife gave me a coupon to try this place out. The minute I sat down for a hair cut, I had a bad vibe. The manager cutting my hair, was rude and didn’t do a good job on my fade cut. I gave a tip and when I got home my wife immediately suggested, to go back to fix it. When I went back, she rudely wanted to give the money back, when another hairstylist was fixing it for me. I then gave the tip to the hairstylist. Any other time I went back, I didn’t feel comfortable and I decided to try another place.
