Not sure where all of these negative reviews are coming from... I’ve shopped here on MANY occasions and have NEVER had a bad experience. Great finds. Great prices. Great staff.

This used to be my absolute favorite store and I’d come from almost an hour away to visit. You might say I’m a regular and I’ve gotten to know the amazing staff and volunteers. The last few weeks the store had gone through some significant changes which I have found to be astoundingly negative, and some of the regulars and I have spoken about them. These are some of the changes that have already negatively impacted the store: 1- please bring back the 50 cent bins! The bins were a vital part of this community. I saw newcomers to Canada, students, seniors, and people from all walks of life shop in our beloved bins. I loved the bins for sewing projects and buying clothes that might be outside of my comfort zone. I met the other regulars and we’d pick out pieces we knew each other liked. Plus it kept less than perfect pieces out of the landfill. 2- the store is now organized by colour; not size. I just want a small black t-shirt. I don’t want to go through 500 black shirts to find one. Furthermore the black T-shirt rack is jammed against the giant column and I can’t even access all the shirts. 3- the new layout is super confusing. And the space in between these staggered racks is ridiculous. There’s so much wasted space around the racks but few precious space between the racks. 4- there used to be a hanging rack at the changing room area. Now it’s a bin where people throw the clothes they’ve tried on and don’t want to buy. Firstly it looks unsightly and secondly people would shop off that rack. 5- the boutique area has increased and while I’m not against a more “exclusive” section of the store I don’t think anyone should pay a premium on old navy or George brands. Sometimes the prices are more expensive than buying it new. Overall I feel like this location has lost its focus and vision. It’s for the community- everyone in the community. I will come out when other reasons have me in the neighborhood but it won’t be my go to thrift store anymore.
