Northern Building Services recently came out to do a foundation repair on our home to seal up holes where critters were getting in. From start to finish, they were fantastic to work with. The quote they gave was exactly what we paid—no surprises (well other than the ones the critters gave us with finding new nests!)—and the work was completed right on schedule.

They were clearly knowledgeable and confident in their approach, which made us feel secure that the job was being done right. When they were finished, you couldn't even tell they had been there—everything was left perfectly clean and tidy.

One of the most impressive aspects of the job was the clean up afterwards. All debris was removed without any issues. Except for the refinished chimney, you would have never known that he was here.

I recently was in need of some emergency chimney repair along with some other masonry brick work. Over the years I have dealt with a number of contractors, Steve and his crew renewed my faith in professional contractors. There are still some out there. He showed up right away when contacted regarding my issue and provided me with a written estimate for the work.
a. He started and completed the work when he said he would.
b. He charged what me actually what I was quoted.
c. When he was finished the site was as clean as when he arrived.

Steve and his crew did an excellent job rebuilding my chimney. It had been damaged some time ago. Work was completed on time and within the quoted price. They were able to use matching brick and build it stronger than it was previously. Looks great! Attached are before & after pictures.

Outstanding service for a fairly complicated Chimney rebuild. Considering how hard it is to get good professionals to estimate, turn up on time, complete the work on time on budget I would highly recommend Northern Building Services. They were also at a lower cost than another estimate we were given - and they delivered a far more superior end result. They completed the work well in advance of the estimate they had given as there was a break in the weather. We have hired a lot of contractors over the last 10 years and hands down these are the best.
