I had an outstanding experience with Frendel kitchen today, thanks to the exceptional customer service provided by Nina and Ki. They were absolutely magical — going above and beyond to resolve my issue.
What truly stood out was the empathy and dedication they brought to the job. They listened attentively, understood the problem thoroughly, and ensured it was fully resolved. Their professionalism and kindness made a real difference.

Terrible quality and workmanship. I have no idea why Mattamy decided to go with this cabinet company.
When I moved in 5+ cabinets were rubbing and multiple drawers were loose/misaligned. I've also had a large number of chips, peeling and gaps. I regret asking them to patch it via warranty because their solution is to just throw silicone at it and it looks much worse now.
Another issue is they'll do mind boggling things like installing unfinished MDF over a dishwasher (steaming raw particle board, what can go wrong!) and leave 2-3 inch gaps on each side of the oven (you can almost stick a fist in there).

With only a 1 year warranty from Frendel on these cabinets, I guess I should not be surprised with the low quality of material used to make them.
I've only lived in my BRAND NEW condo for less than 2 years, and this weekend I found the bottoms of some of my cabinets to already be peeling.
Water damage is definitely NOT the problem because I always wipe little spills near my dishwasher. My pantry that is peeling is nowhere near the sink or dish washer, so there's no excuse why the wood should be chipping not even 2 years after installation.
Humidity is also not a problem in my condo because my hydrometer... read full review
