I suffered for 2 year with very painful Trigeminal Neuralgia and finally had brain surgery to remove a brain tumor which was compressing the Trigeminal nerve.However instead of improving, the pain got much worse after the surgery, leaving me unable to talk or eat and requiring medication to endure the pain.A friend of my husbands referred us to Poney Chiang, an acupuncturist who is an expert in treating facial pain. His treatment protocol began to reduce my pain almost immediately and the pain continued to decrease gradually with continued treatments over the next couple of months. I have now been pain free for 2 months and have eliminated all medication.Poney Chiang is highly skilled, brilliant, generous and compassionate. He was able to understand my issues from both the Chinese and Western Medical perspective. I had chronic pain for several years, tried so many different healing modalities and nothing seemed to work or last. I went to see Emiko Kanematsu for acupuncture at the beginning of this year. She did a very thorough consultation. I received my treatment, which I loved, and also started taking the customized herbal formula she recommended for me. Within a month I was pain free and a few other symptoms I was experiencing were gone as well. I highly recommend this place!

I would highly recommend Dr. Chiang from the river clinic! I went to see him with cognitive impairment believed to be related to covid-19. He was incredibly kind, a very good listener to my story & symptoms, and helped create a treatment program. I started with herbs and then eventually added acupuncture. He focused on neuro acupuncture as well as French acupuncture through the ear lobe and by the 5th session I saw improvement which was huge for me after suffering for so many months. He was able to assess every session and tweak the treatment to help me improve I am very grateful to have gotten the reference to Dr. Chiang & could not be more pleased with my experience!
