With Black textured hair, it doesn't come out as straight as a silk press and style but you won't lose your curls due to heat either. Patti is so cool and personable!“

“I live in Washington DC and often schedule visits to Dearborn-area family to coincide with the availabilty of Mary, hair stylist at this salon. Without exaggeration she consistently gives the best hair cut I have had anywhere (SF, NYC, DC, Chicago....the works!). She expertly layers thin hair like mine in a way that gives it body, such that for weeks afterwards I don't even have to set it. The compliments pour in for weeks after Mary has cut my hair. Friends want to jointly fly here in to do each of our haircuts, so if all you have to do is get in a car and drive a few miles, make an appointment for Mary to give you your next hair cut.“

I am VERY picky as I am a sibling of a stylist and have worked with her in the salon, so my expectations are very high (not sugar coating it), and Kara exceeded them. I'm super ticklish and my feet and hands were disasters from running, neglect, and winter. She completely transformed them and didn't give up! Usually people quit on my feet after a minute because I'm too ticklish but she just held on and went for it. They're baby soft.
