I have gotten bathroom renovation and paint done by the byng group recently and it was not a very good experience. My house was left with paint stains all over my apartment floor including kitchen and washroom and grout all over the bath tub. I think they were not professional. They were late to the work, missed work for some days/rescheduled. And left the mess.

I hired a crew of 5 helpers after Byng told me there would be enough work to support it, and I am happy I did so. The Project Managers in Kitchener have been great to me, letting me know if there are any deficiencies or problems with my work, and allow me to fix it for next time. Sometimes, the deficiency fee can be high but it teaches you to be up to the Byng standard of quality and workmanship.

WARNING - The Byng Group is great to work for, if you dont mind working for free! Everybody knows slavery is illegal in Canada, but few are aware that General Contractors such as this one are exempt from this law! These big companies care only about their riches, while their sub-trades suffer. The Byng Group claims to value and respect "the little guy". However, they play dirty by cutting invoices, "misplacing" invoices, and ultimately freezing the account when collection attempts are made! This company doesnt care that they are destroying lives, period.
