Some of their agents are helpful and deal with mental crisis well and some of them come off as rude and condescending. In all honesty it's a crap shoot of whether you'll feel better or not after the call. They do provide helpful referral services but sometimes their agents will talk over you and as most of you likely know when you're in crisis that's a horrible tactic to use and could further deepen the bad feelings you're having. They do want to help but they're limited in what they can do and I'm just warning everyone that it might not be the best option, it's a bit of a risk.
I was trying to explain that both my partner and I were discussing calmly at one point and he kept referring back to how it was screaming when I called. Yes, I called cause there was a crisis at the time of the call, but there is a thing called '10-20 minutes ago when things were calm', that I was trying to talk about.
I have had good experiences with this number but now I have a pit in my stomach with the thought that this is no longer an option for help, as I agree with the other reviews, there is a risk you will end up feeling worse after calling this.
These individuals are amazing at what they do!!! I was in dark spot in life a few yrs ago and thank to the individuals who answered my call 24/7 I was able to overcome that Darkside in my life and carry on with strength.
Thank you very much, from the bottom of my heart ❤️
