The nurse that I had was an absolute ANGEL. Oh my gosh, what a sweetheart. Ive never been good with needles or giving blood, but she made the experience as comfortable as possible. I told her ahead of time I tend to get presyncope and she stayed very reassuring and posative the entire time. I asked to lay down to draw my blood and that made things much nicer for me. (I guess that room 4 is the only one with the bed, so if you think you'd need it you should request it when you check in). Staff are kind, quick and helpful.
Unfortunate to have to arrive an hour early as a walk in, and already see people in line. There needs to be more locations or longer hours. Booking an appointment has 3 to 5 weeks wait time, and blood tests can be urgent .
Otherwise all great in this specific location
Had an appointment with Charlie for two autistic children, and I cannot thank him enough for his patience, willingness to explain the process and the 'why's in order to make these kids feel comfortable. Previous experiences have resulted in both being terrified of blood draws resulting in major meltdowns at the idea of them.
Although it was difficult to support them through this blood draw, we will be able to refer back to this experience in the future, and build on it, where they were respected, their needs were met, and their advocacy for their own needs honoured.
Cannot thank him enough.
