Dr. Russell has been absolutely amazing with our cat! He had severe periodontal disease and stomatitis and needed his back teeth extracted. Dr. Russell was compassionate, thorough, and made us feel completely at ease. The difference in our cat afterward was incredible.
We now see him yearly for dentals and trust Dr. Russell completely. Highly recommend! πΎ

would recommended taking your pet here! my puppy broke her leg at 3 months old they were able to get her in for surgery quick, now 7 weeks later she is all healed! Doc. Schultz was amazing with my puppy! we loved the receptionist Jessie she had no problem answering any questions we asked and explaining in detail! also would recommended using trupanion pet insurance, they covered majority of her surgery and OVS works directly with them so i did not have to contact the insurance once.

Great experience. I was referred to VDCT by my trusted primary vet who vouched for Dr. Russel and his team, saying if her dogs needed oral surgery, she'd trust Dr. Russel. I'm happy to say my dog Hopscotch was in very good hands and now has a healthy mouth after a tooth removal and root canal. The office provides thorough records of xrays and charts detailing the treatment as well. A real testament to his office is that when we went back for a re-check two weeks later, she wasn't nervous at all to go to the clinic, and was even happy to see everyone. Thanks everybody!

Mere words cannot describe the experience I had with Dr. Russell and his staff. I brought my 15-year-old, Shih Tzu (Chocolate) there after suspecting that a vet's office in Tulsa, where he was being boarded, had broken/fractured his jaw. When I picked my dog up, his jaw hurt, and he was not able to eat. Dr. Russell confirmed through exams and x-rays that Chocolate's jaw was indeed broken (by TRAUMA, not bad teeth - I personally think he was kicked in the jaw). I was so angry, sad, heartbroken all at once. Dr. Russell and staff were so gentle with Chocolate. They made me and Chocolate feel so comfortable. He surgically wired and splinted Chocolate's jaw to stabilize it and support the healing process. It was supposed to be surgically removed in 8 weeks. However, somehow Chocolate managed to break the splint in 3 weeks....sigh. I took him back and Dr. Russell IMMEDIATELY addressed the situation, making the best recommendation based on my dog's health condition. He decided to surgically remove the wire and splint, and to his surprise (and mine), Chocolate's jaw was HEALED!!! He said he has never seen jaws heals so fast in dog's Chocolate's age. (He recommended we continue soft foods and removing chew toys for 30 days to be on the safe side). I attribute that to prayers, and the doctor's meticulous care in placing the wire and stint initially. They were reaponsive to calls of concern, and after everything, they called to check on Chocolate to see how he was progressing. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Russell and his staff. They are gentle, professional, upfront, transparent, and true animal lovers. It's so disgusting that the other place broke my dog's jaw, but Dr. Russell made the best out of a horrible situation. I can't thank them enough!

Dr. Russel did a wonderful job getting my Angel's abscess tooth removed. He wanted to look in her mouth before taking her back and I said I doubt it but you can try. Don't touch under her chin neck area it's very sensitive. What did he do...she yelped & lunged at him. I told you not to. Glad I had a hold of the leash.

We were recently referred here for a tumor in our dogβs mouth. Unfortunately, we did not receive good news, and we only had a couple more weeks with her. However, I am so thankful for the Doctorβs blunt, but empathetic honesty. He could have easily squeezed money from us by demassing the tumor, etc. But he was very straightforward in saying that any surgical procedures would just cause discomfort for our dog in the limited time she had left and that we should just enjoy the time we had left with her. His empathy wasnβt overbearing and didnβt seem manufactured; I could feel his sorrow and sympathy in delivering the news though. I sincerely hope he reads this review so he knows how thankful we are that he was the person we crossed paths with during this very difficult journey.

My dog fractured one of his molars and Dr. Russel helped us save the tooth by creating a sealant. His table side manner was excellent - so kind and took his time to answer questions and explain the procedure. Goose just had his annual checkup at the vet and they were so impressed by Dr. Russelβs work. Goose and I will be returning next month for some follow-up radiographs, and we look forward to it!
