“I brought two pairs of Raleigh Denim jeans to Tallgrass for hemming. The first pair, a Martin Original Raw Selvage pair, was unfinished and was shortened and hemmed without issue. For the second pair, Jones Camp denim jeans, I specifically asked that the distressed finished hem be preserved, and I was assured that it would be. Although the original hem was reattached, the finished work did not meet expectations. It appears the hem was removed and restitched onto the shortened leg rather than being reattached with a proper Euro hem technique in matching thread. The result is a visible gap at the exterior seam and an uncomfortable flap inside the pant leg. Given the assurance I received, the additional charge for preserving the original hem, and the avoidable nature of the issue, I was disappointed with the quality of the service. I was charged $58 for the two hems. ... Subsequently, the shop refunded the charge on the one pair and redressed the issue by eliminating the gap and removing the additional material inside the leg. The finished product is a noticeable improvement. I am very appreciative the matter was addressed by the owner and team in a professional manner. It is clear that Tallgrass Tailor takes customer satisfaction seriously.”
