    Austin came out and had a great attitude, and was really helpful. Tried to use smaller mom and pop local companies and we kept getting worked over and the problem was never resolved. Austin was determined to make sure he found the issue, fixed it, and verified everything was good. Really appreciated the work he did. Turns out the guys that installed a PVC hanger, screwed the support bracket into the line from our bathroom...

    Up until recently, I would have given Hunter a high review. I have used their services for years and they used to be a great company to work with. The first issue I had was with their plumbing service. I had a leak underground and a leak where the tubing comes out of the ground and tees out to multiple lines. The plumber showed up four hours late, gave me a quote to make the repairs ($1,800), I approved and he went to work. After he finished the underground line I asked him about the lines under the house. He said that was another $700 (even though he included it in the initial quote). I have been a member of their Cozy Club for years and I was supposed to get discounts on their plumbing service. The second incident was shortly after. They do a biannual check of my HVAC and in January of 2024 told me I needed to replace my whole system due to mold. I paid the $12,000 to have a new system put in. Six months later, the system started acting up so I called them - they tried to charge me $70 for a service call even though I am a member of their Cozy Club and this is a brand new system! I canceled my membership, contacted another company and had them make the repairs. The other company I used told me they get a lot of business from dissatisfied former Hunter customers. Hunter used to be a great company to use. I’m a good customer and I always promote reputable companies. I recommended them to many friends and drove a lot of business their way. But in their quest to expand, they have forgotten what made them successful to begin with - good customer service. When I called them with my grievances, I gave them the chance to make it right, they made it clear they were not interested. I have taken my business elsewhere and if you are looking for a good HVAC company I recommend you go with the local ma and pa outfits.
