“We hired Urban Kitchens to renovate the kitchen of our 1940s home near OU’s campus, along with several other major updates. We couldn’t be happier with the results. The project included not only a full kitchen remodel but also painting the entire house, refinishing our original wood floors, replacing every window to match the home’s historic style, creating a laundry closet on the first floor and even rebuilding our stairs. Our kitchen renovation was especially complex. It required solving a tricky layout problem with the basement entrance, which had previously been awkwardly placed inside a too-tall island. Urban Kitchens came up with a thoughtful solution that completely transformed the space. They also removed walls and doors and reconfigured a row of windows into beautiful French doors, creating a seamless indoor/outdoor connection that has completely changed how we use the space. The masonry work was so precise you’d never know the house hadn’t always been this way. Throughout the process, the team was both attentive and cost-conscious. “Used it as a wedding venue! Absolutely amazing. We were able to fit 12 guest tables, a bar, 4 food tables, and still have room for a photo booth, DJ, and dance floor. There is an overhead door in the back that we were able to open when it got too warm inside. The graffiti wall was a great backdrop for the photo booth. We were able to have the venue all day for set up and come the next day to break it all down. The staff person that was available during the whole process was wonderful.
