The assistants seemed very inexperienced! Not what you want to deal with if you have anxiety about the dentist.

I had gone to Ainsworth Family Dental for several years. I will not return again because of what has happened this year. On March 3rd 2025, I had a dental exam and cleaning. X-rays were taken, and nothing was said or noted about a filling that had come loose on a molar. I went back for a cleaning on May 28th due to some buildup on the lower front teeth, and the dental hygienist saw the loose filling. Dr. Crossley, looked at it and agreed it was loose and needed to be replaced. He saw on the x-ray from March that it needed replacing nearly three months prior.

On June 4th, he replaced the filling. I was still getting sensitivity in the area weeks later and returned to the office on July 22nd. He took new x-rays and saw that there was an air pocket. He told me it needed to be redone. This was not the first time he had left an air pocket in a filling of mine. I returned on July 24th for him to redo the filling. He said he was getting soft tissue/decay and that he must have β€œunder-prepped the first time” (just one month prior). He drilled deeper and filled it again.

On July 29th, I saw Dr. Ainsworth in the afternoon. I said I was still getting sensitivity with the filling. He used the polisher to buff it down. On August 4th, I returned because of worsening pain. He buffed down both that molar and the adjacent one. I went back to see him on August 7th because the majority of my back teeth on that side were not touching. When closing, I was hitting my front right teeth hard. I told him I did not really want more healthy teeth shaved for a filling that I know was already messed up once by Dr. Crossley. Ainsworth kept reiterating that the imaging looked good and that we were close. Additional bite adjustments had to be made.

I went to another dentist on August 18th, because of continued pain and everything that had transpired with this office. The dentist took x-rays and saw what appeared to be an air pocket. They put me on antibiotics in hopes that it would calm it down since the tooth had already been worked on repeatedly. If it did not settle down, the filling would have to be replaced as a last attempt, which was indeed what ultimately happened. I contacted Ainsworth and Crossley’s office that same afternoon and requested copies of all of my records, including x-rays. I picked them up on the morning of August 19th, only to open the folder in the car and see there were only a few x-rays and no other information. I went back inside and said I wanted all of my records. They then printed and handed me additional pages. When I returned home, I saw there were multiple missing x-rays - including the x-ray which showed the initial air pocket on July 22nd. They sent me more imaging over email, while still leaving out the July 22nd imaging. It ultimately went to text messaging where I had to specifically request the imaging from that date in order to get it.

My tooth required a root canal in September because the nerve was indeed dying. Needless to say, this has cost me significantly this year. My opinion is that if the loose filling had been replaced in a timely manner and properly filled by Dr. Crossley, most of this could have been avoided. This all started with one original loose filling.

I'm giving 5 stars because that's all you can give. Dr Ainsworth deserves so much more. He pulled 4 of my teeth, and there was NO PAIN during the extraction or after. Everyone in the office is very friendly. I highly recommend this dental office!

I just have to give a huge shoutout to Dentist Josh Crossley for my 4 new crowns he put on my upper front 4 teeth, they were so broken and jagged from radiation due to cancer several years ago, this has absolutely changed my life! He has done such a great job, he is a game changer and explains the whole process so explicitly, I am beyond grateful, as you can see by the photo they look and feel great and the color matchup is about as spot on as you can get. He and his staff were absolutely wonderful and caring, Anyone needing some dental work of any kind, don't be afraid to go to these guys, they are just great to deal with and very compassionate in every sense of the word! Thanks Dr Crossley for giving me my smile back, you're the best!
