I had a silk press, which included a steam and trim, good experience, took a little longer than I thought. Appointment was at 8am, started around 820, finished around 1030, still I would recommend giving them a try!!!

For natural hair, especially, you can trust these ladies with your head. I’ve been going here for over a year and usually do some type of twist with my natural hair. The styles are protective and look great. I’ve also had their signature silk press and braided styles. You can’t go wrong at Fenix Beauty Lounge! These ladies have beautiful souls and it’s felt long after you leave the shop.

This salon was raving with five-star reviews on Style Seat, so I was pumped to finally find a decent spot for my hair. But let me tell you, my experience was a complete disaster! First off, I made an appointment, and guess what? They were late! They had the audacity to text me to arrive earlier, but I ended up sitting there for an extra hour. Hello? People schedule appointments for a reason! We have lives, places to be, and things to do! But I let it slide because they seemed to be nice people. I left thinking that I was looking cute and I was going to give them like a 4 star review. One star off because they were late, but I'm glad I didn't! The prices are not worth it! You have to pay a deposit as if the hair style itself isnt already too expensive for the horrid job thry do! They charge an arm and a leg for a job that's downright terrible. I asked for my hair to be dyed. Huge mistake! The stylist clearly didn't know what she was doing. My hair is absolutely DESTROYED! It looked fine the first day, but when I woke up, I had dye all over my pillow and my hair was FRIED! I think she kept it in too long! I seriously don't understand how this place has such glowing reviews. Are people just too nice to give them low ratings? Because let me tell you, their "nice" demeanor feels fake and manipulative, like they're trying to be your best friend while totally ruining your hair! I'm keeping it real: this place is a total train wreck! Never going back!

Fenix Beauty has been great in my personal experience. Whitney and Porscha are kindhearted souls and are outstanding at what they do! I would refer anyone to visit them first before anyone else.

Normally I wouldn’t write a bad review on a business. I entrusted in a black owned business. About a week ago I got a silk press and since I had some split ends I had the stylist cut my hair into a Bob. She originally was planning to just cut the split ends but we went back and forth and I decided yes on the Bob which she somehow kept going on about it and made me feel bad. Also made me feel like she was trying to get me to give in and dye it there so she could get more money.
After the wash someone else styled it and imo it looks good enough, doesn’t look damaged though I assumed, but it smelled very burnt. After days of wearing my hair straight I texted to get an appointment to wash my hair. I was tired of the burnt smell and could no longer take it. No response so later that night I washed my hair on my own and discovered that the back of my hair was so straight like a relaxer had been in and it the burnt smell would not go away after shampooing and conditioning for over an hour long. I believe one of the girls here put some chemicals in my hair to make it straight in the back and the rest of my head is still natural. (One stylist) said” could she mold the back of my head” I said yes but not knowing that my hair would forever be straight and damaged. I’m not sure if the girls had a vendetta against me possibly because I’m allergic to dogs and they decided to put their pup away for me or if someone messed up and instead of saying something they held that secret within their self. I do not recommend this salon. 1. Having a dog in a salon is very unsanitary. 2. Leaving a salon with natural hair and later discovering half of your hair may have been relaxed 3. Paying for a virtual consultation for no reason at all and that amount isn’t deducted from your style fee. 4. Multiple women working on your hair at once so when there’s an issue you have no idea whom to address. 5. If you are natural only go to natural hair stylist. 6. The first stylist did not initially put heat protectant on my hair before blow drying. Heat protectant was applied after blow drying with hair spray. 7. My hair is fried all because I confidently decided to allow these women to touch my hair. 8. Stylist called to fixed the situation which makes me question if she has any knowledge because burnt-fried hair can and will revert. The only option is to cut the hair off. A positive one of the owners genuinely apologized.

I really ❤️ that are very attentive to detail w/ every customer. It starts w/ when you get your hair washed by Valencia, which by the way is AMAZING!! Then Porscha & Whitney style you up in the way you want or a way they think may fit you better lol. They’re incredible stylists & I’m blessed that they take of my hair.
