3825 NW 166th St B13, Edmond“I joined Legacy back in June, and I’m genuinely grateful I did. From day one, the environment has been welcoming, supportive, and respectful—no ego, just people who truly care about training and helping each other improve.
The coaching at Legacy is outstanding. Coach Rader, a two-time BJJ world champion, leads the gym, and learning from him is an incredible opportunity. He’s extremely knowledgeable, patient, and attentive, and there’s so much you can learn from his experience, whether you’re brand new or more advanced. I’ve felt encouraged to learn at my own pace while still being challenged, which has made a huge difference in my confidence and progress.
The culture here is what really stands out: friendly teammates, a clean space, and a strong sense of community. Walking into Legacy always feels like a positive part of my day. If you’re looking for a BJJ gym where you can learn, grow, and feel supported, I can’t recommend Legacy enough.“

10944 N May Ave, Oklahoma City“Rafael Lovato Jr. is a true world-class champion and an incredible ambassador for jiu-jitsu. His level of skill, discipline, and leadership sets the standard for what a champion should be — both on and off the mats.
The training facility is absolutely beautiful — clean, professional, and built for serious development. The atmosphere is welcoming, humble, and focused on growth at every level.
The seminars are outstanding, often featuring world-class athletes who bring high-level knowledge and experience. You’re not just getting techniques — you’re getting insight from competitors who have performed at the highest stages in the world.
If you’re looking for elite instruction in a positive, championship-level environment, this is the place.“

2217 NW 178th St, Edmond“I love this place! My grandson has been going here for about a year. They really care about the kids. The teachers are amazing. We even had my grandson's birthday party here, and it was the best kid's party I've ever been to. The man leading it learned every single kid's name. He taught them a little karate them led them in game after game. The kids ran their little legs off! Then they all got a chance to split a board with a karate chop.
The people who run this place exemplify Christ in every way. I wholeheartedly recommend it!“

14412 N Lincoln Blvd, Edmond“My daughter has been a part of the program for quite some time. The coaches are experienced. The coaches care about your child. The coaches show they care about your child through how they treat your child. No yelling, or encouraging violence. But a respectful and careful choreography of the lessons taught. They incorporate life lessons for the kids too. My daughter has gained friends from the program, that share similar values. Great adult programs too!“

2201 I-44, Oklahoma City“The Google advert showed it was closed as I traveled from Enid. I arrived, waited 1 1/2 hours until the site said open at 1730. I checked the door and for a person, but nothing. I actually stumbled onto the calendar which showed nothing until 1900. I drove home to Lawton. Missed y'all. ???“

Due to working more and becoming more involved with the church, I became stretched very thin. I had to make a decision, and my livelihood and my faith had to come before my newfound passion. I took a hiatus from Taekwondo until the beginning of the new year. It was difficult coming back and seeing that all of my peers had advanced. You build comradery in Taekwondo, just like any sport, so it’s difficult when you feel left behind. Despite that, I was determined to get myself ready for the next test on Jan 29th. Working with my instructors, I busted my tail to learn the next forms (and re-learn the ones I had forgot), as well as most of my one steps. By the time the week of the test came around, I was ready. Unfortunately, I tested positive for COVID that week and I had to quarantine. I missed the test and all that hard work seemed for nothing. I would have to wait another three months to test again. I was feeling pretty discouraged. It became pretty easy to decide to skip Taekwondo. I have become more busy than I was when I took a hiatus last year, as I’ve started two classes through Haskins School of Ministry, and I’ve started preaching. I went the week after COVID, but I skipped the week following. When I did come back, Randy (beginner belt instructor - far right) said, “Kyle, where ya been, man?” I told him how I ended up just sleeping on the previous Monday when I was supposed to be there. He said, “I was gonna tell you that I talked to Sonny (intermediate belt instructor - far left), and we decided we’re going to do a rank test just for you. It’s not fair that you had to miss it because of COVID.” I was so blown away by that and told him how much I appreciated it. He and Sonny, again, worked hard to help get me ready for my test. Today was the day. I’m proud to say that I did really well and I have finally earned my green belt. Mark is the one to my immediate right. He’s the black belt I had to spar with as part of my test. He has been a great encourager for me and I appreciate him, as well. I’m humbled to say that I could not have done it without him, Randy and Sonny, and all of Jack Hwang’s behind me. It’s an honor and a blessing to be a part of this school. I love my dojang. I’ll recommend everyone I can to take a free trial lesson. You won’t regret it. (Wow, Heaven forbid I ever win a Grammy or an Oscar, huh?)“
“Our son started practicing last year in August, he come practice 3 x week. Master Gavin really good teaching these young kids Taekwondo. We love this place.“

“We genuinely love this studio, we've checked out different studios before starting classes here in 2020. Since my son started, my husband has also joined and they take classes almost every day of the week. Our son has learned strength and self discipline. He's also learned to push himself to do his best, to be honest with himself, and how to set goals. He's additionally learned how to be a leader not only through his words but by example. It's not only the demand for greatness in the studio, but in all aspects of his life there is a particular standard that's expected.I'm so happy and grateful we found this studio.“
