Primary Care Associates provides top-notch care with a team of kind and professional staff. The doctors take time to listen and care about patients' quality of life, making suggestions and respecting their decisions. The lab staff are also friendly and efficient. Appointments are typically quick and easy to schedule, with short wait times. While some minor issues with record-keeping may arise, the overall experience is successful in addressing patients' concerns and providing guidance. The staff is professional and well-dressed, making for a pleasant visit.
Although we really liked our doctors there, we are not doing the new "membership" type program for $2000 per year (in addition to the regular costs associated with seeing a doctor). We were given the option of continuing our care with a nurse practitioner. We saw one once and she was excellent. The problem is that there are only two and they are way too busy. I called this morning needing to get in and asked for the earliest available appointment. I was told that I couldn't see anyone until July. We don't want to go to urgent care for every illness or ailment, but we also can't wait 2 weeks to see our regular provider when we have a medical need.
Dr. Holdman's bedside manner was appalling. Despite my dad seeking treatment for a sinus infection, Dr. Holdman was rude and uninterested in providing care. It's concerning to hear that this is a common occurrence at this clinic. It costs you nothing to treat people with respect and kindness.
I had been with Simmons for years until he was no longer employed. Had my ups and downs, but he was highly different in the best ways, from TBIs to Spider Bites. Dr Simmons was beyond superb and bedside manner in er always calmed my family only then had he stepped out. Great doctor appointments and staff can be difficult for them and patients I have learned to be polite and patient clear to the point always been helped or transferred to PA on call to assist with whatever silly question I had.
