I've taken my 11 year old golden here since she was a puppy. The staff and Dr. Aldridge are always very attentive, friendly, and caring towards my pet. My parents also bring their two dogs and they have also always had great experiences. They will be there for you in a true emergency and also offer boarding services.
do not take your animals to Westwood Veterinary hospital. They thought it would be a good idea to give our pregnant pup a rabies vaccine two weeks out from giving birth. It induced her, and the puppies were premature. We lost five of the puppies during birth due to being underdeveloped, and five were successful. This morning, we tried to take a sick and fading puppy to them for emergency attention and they turned us down. The pup soon passed. These people do not have the compassion and love that is needed to successfully run an animal hospital. They claim to be an "emergency clinic", yet had no problem saying "no" to a fading puppy. Dr Aldridge and staff are great. We have used them off and on for several years. They came highly recommended. We had a cat with a large oral cancer and Dr Aldridge was the only vet to notice it after two others failed too. Unfortunately, it was too late to surgically address. He was honest about it, offered his experience in these cases and did not sale a hopeless procedure that compromised quality of life. He also treated a rescue with heart worms for us and again was honest regarding outcomes. He was available when we needed him. The current staff is kind and friendly.
