My baby sister has been here since 1978. I don't get to come back home often but when I do I come here 1st. It's still beautiful. One visit I did stop by the office to check on my mother's plot and make sure everything was up to date and that there was nothing left for us to do. I was told that after all of these years there was money owed for the burial. I paid the remainder and then my mom said cancel it and she will handle it and the office workers said that I could get all but $1300 back. I was really upset that it was not explained in the 1st place that money was nonrefundable and it was inly an hour after the payment was made. Not sure how to feel about that.

I never like to update a review and reduce the rating, but alas here I am. And it's a shame. Any time you're visiting a cemetery or in need of funeral services, it's clearly a sensitive matter. My family recently lost our grandmother and while she had everything planned for years in regards to when she passed away, the process was still difficult. The biggest issue was the staff. The head honcho was an absolute pain to work with. He made us feel as though we were being a giant inconvenience because the funeral was on a Saturday morning. There were threats that if we didn't leave by an exact time that we would be charged a huge fee. It legitimately stressed my family members out because that's what was on their mind instead of saying goodbye. We shouldn't have been thinking about the cemetery staff and booking it for them to enjoy their weekend (facepalm). My grandfather has a plot here too and I can only hope that when he passes it's not as complicated and unsensitive.
