I had something in the left side of my throat causing intense pain when triggered by just about anything. A swallow , a cough , cold drink , a yawn
, just about anything. After putting up with this for about 3 months it got so bad that after my wife badgered me to go to Genesis ER I decided to go to ER to get some help.
I thought this had something to do with a sore throat but found out after having CT scan and MRI that I had something called Glassopharyngeal Neuralgia (GPN). Was prescribed Tegretol XR turned out to be a miracle drug.Completely stopped the pain.

Had surgery Feb 11th. And everyone was amazing from drs to nurses. They checked on me and kept me up to date. Helped me when needed and got me out and back home fast which was great for me. Been here a few times for my husbands surgeries as well. Cant say enough good things about the staff here.
5 stars, specifically for Maddy(daytime)& Alexis(overnight), RNs on the maternity ward. My sister was in labor for 24 hours & Alexus kept her comfortable and informed to the best of her ability for her entire shift. Maddy was phenomenal at being supportive & encouraging, & she all but delivered my nephew. Both Maddy & Alexis treated us well & explained things clearly without seeming condescending while simultaneously keeping things lighthearted & carrying conversation like old friends which really helped in keeping my sisters morale up during the 24 hours she was unable to eat or sleep.
