Residents are very comfortable and well cared for, kept very clean with frequent baths and immediate attention to personal care needs. The facilities are not just assisted living but a home, with residents as engaged participants in multiple activities throughout the day, including weekends. Management and employees are knowledgeable and helpful, coordinating medical care and going above and beyond, such as providing special items like travel mugs or digital calendars for residents' specific needs. They also accommodate personal comforts, such as allowing pets. The overall sentiment is that this is a place that takes excellent care of your loved ones.
The Addison of Cornersburg was described to me as a “hidden gem.” After having placed my mother there for a month of respite care, I have to agree. My mother said that she liked it, it was very clean, and it was a very nice place. The staff are excellent, and I feel that they really care about the residents and enjoy working there. When my mother arrived, there was a welcoming basket in her room that contained chocolates, hard candies, a mug, teabags, and a throw blanket.
My mother had a stroke 6 years ago that caused left hand weakness and loss of dexterity, and she had recently fractured her right hand, which made it difficult for her to raise a cup up...read full review
If you are looking for assisted living for your loved one, Doug would be an excellent person to help you! I have known him for years, he is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of senior living and will be a great resource for you.
