Dr. Schmetterer was really great in taking care of my leg issues. He explained everything so I could understand what was going on. And now after the treatment every thing is great. His staff also went out there way to give me the appointment times I needed because of my work schedule. I can recommend him for vascular issues.

Dr. Schmetter is a wonderful surgeon. He did amazing work on my father. He was very informative and professional. We could not be happier. His staff are all so kind and compassionate. A special shout-out to Leeanne Varner, she went above and beyond what she needed to do. She checked on my dad and treated both my parents like they were her family. I highly recommend the Dr. and his staff, I thank God we were referred there.

Dr. Schmetterer and his staff were absolutely wonderful taking of my mother. He has a very calming presence and explains everything so that you can understand. He even draws pictures! His office staff is kind and helpful. Melyssa was very good at keeping me calm during a few tense time. I highly recommend Dr and his staff to anyone looking for a vascular surgeon!!

Lawrence Schmetterer, MD, FACS Dr. Lawrence Schmetterer is a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon in Youngstown, Ohio. He performs thoracic and vascular surgery which includes lung surgery, mediastinal surgery and treatment of vascular disease involving the arteries and veins. Most procedures are completed at Salem Regional Medical Center, and Steward Trumbull Regional Medical Center, and the Surgical Hospital at Southwoods. Treatment of venous disease involving varicose veins and venous insufficiency is provided in the office at 20 Ohltown Road in Austintown.
