I went because I had swelling in both legs, heaviness and then developed a rash on both shins. Dr recommended sclerotherapy on both my legs and yesterday was my last treatment and I can walk up stairs with no issues, the heaviness , rash and swelling are gone and for the first time in years I can tie my shoes! Dr and staff are wonderful and I recommend them to anyone that is having issues with their legs.
Last summer I was so embarrassed to wear shorts because of my legs, thanks to Dr. Schmetterer this summer I am excited to wear shorts!! After having my baby 3 months ago I developed superficial blood clots. They hurt and my leg swelled.After two hospital visits for ultrasounds and two dr visits and Another ultrasound -I needed to close the veins so I began Varithena Vein treatment. After 8 treatments I am finished now and I go to the dr tomorrow for a follow up! Lawrence Schmetterer MD FACS Thoracic & Vascular Surgery team really were so helpful and kind. The treatment it’s self was a small pinch and then alittle burn. Post care I had some swelling and some pain all of which I communicated to them and they gave me a action plan.
