In 2022 I became allergic to two of my diabetes meds. So, I’ve become very serious about managing my glucose level through diet and exercise. My exercise at @theexercisecoach and the coaches have made such a difference with how I manage my health. I work out twice a week. It’s an intense 20 minute session with strength training and cardio. I join their challenges. We discuss life while I’m working out and we talk through challenges with managing health goals. They celebrate my wins with me. And they’ve taught me to look at more than the scale. Actually, I have weight goals, but I track things like “I can walk up hills” “my balance is way better” “I can stand for much longer periods of time” “I can keep up with my friends again” “I feel more comfortable in my body”… I could go on for days with benefits that mean more than pounds. I also have lost more than 3% BMI and almost 20 pounds since September. I go to The Exercise Coach in Worthington, but they have one in Upper Arlington, too. It’s always better late than never to start this exercise thing. You too, might become a fan.
