When you go to the hospital to deliver your full term baby, you don’t imagine returning home 24 hours later, empty handed. As a young couple just starting a family, you don’t anticipate the first event you plan for your newborn daughter will be her funeral. And yet, that’s exactly where we found ourselves this past October — lost, heartbroken, and navigating the uncharted waters of planning a funeral for a life that had only just begun. My husband passed away unexpectedly and Sam and Kim did a wonderful job with everything. I've never had to do a funeral before and had no idea what to expect or do, they both talked me through everything and explained everything and the funeral went smoothly. In a hard situation, they made it comforting.
Custer-Glenn handled both my mom and dad’s services with such care, respect, and compassion. The staff treated us warmly and were always there to help us. Abby, the therapy dog, was a special touch and brought comfort during an emotional time. We will always be grateful for the kindness they showed our family.
