When you go to the hospital to deliver your full term baby, you don’t imagine returning home 24 hours later, empty handed. As a young couple just starting a family, you don’t anticipate the first event you plan for your newborn daughter will be her funeral. And yet, that’s exactly where we found ourselves this past October — lost, heartbroken, and navigating the uncharted waters of planning a funeral for a life that had only just begun. Per the recommendation of a family friend, we chose to work with Custer-Glenn, and we are so grateful that we did. The whole team at Custer-Glenn walked patiently beside us throughout the whole process, giving us room to grieve while showing us the way. They treated us with sincere kindness and compassion and made things as easy as they can be when facing a reality that is anything but. Custer-Glenn has been there for my family 3 times over the past year: when we lost my grandma and aunt, and when my mother lost her beloved cat (They also provide pet cremation). Custer-Glenn Funeral Home has raised the bar for what our expectations will be in the future when choosing a funeral home. We are not near the area, but our loved-one that passed away lived in Wooster her entire life. We chose Custer-Glenn because of a recommendation from a friend. Sam and Kim went out of their way to accommodate our family and our changing needs. Service and the decor was wonderful.
