As a Muslim woman who wears hijab, privacy is extremely important to me, and Max went above and beyond to make sure I felt completely safe and respected. For those of us who don’t have a large community, or just want more of a mainstream salon experience, this was exactly what I need. It was clearly communicated with the entire staff regarding male clientele to ensure my practices were protected. Everything was handled with such professionalism and care — without ever making it feel awkward or burdensome. I felt seen, respected, and genuinely protected throughout the entire appointment. On top of that, Max listened carefully to what I wanted and delivered a beautiful haircut. It meant so much to be able to relax and enjoy the experience without any privacy concerns at all. If you’re looking for a stylist who is not only talented but also deeply respectful, thoughtful, and inclusive, I cannot recommend Max enough. All marginalized groups need more spaces like this.
