Quick Install! They worked around our pets. One window was cracked but they are replacing it! The workers were very kind and diligent!
Overall I was pleased with the work performed by Great Lakes. The crew was efficient and outside of the typical noise that comes roofing, were very non-disruptive. Tear off and install was complete in 8-9 hours on my 1250 sqft house. They did great on clean up as well, I think I've only found 1 or 2 nails that were missed. Roof looks great as well. My only complaint would be from the sales pitch and pricing. I think the sales pitch ended up taking around three hours one evening? High pressure sales tactics are used (deals and discounts only good for today, included vacation packages, and all the other typical ones mentioned in other reviews.) When it came to pricing, the numbers they gave for various upgrades are over inflated. For example, the underlayment used, to go from the basic to GAF'S upgraded "Tiger Paw" underlayment was a few thousand dollar upcharge. If you go look at Home Depot, for example, the standard GAF felt buster underlayment cost ~$100 per roll and the tiger paw at ~$200 a roll. Only 1.5 rolls were used on my house, so not sure where the massive upcharge comes from. I'm very well aware that I could've paid much less for a roof, but having high quality roofing materials and installation and a great warranty help me get past the sticker shock.
amazing company they have lots of great promotions and options available! last roof you'll ever need.
