After trying three different stylists, I finally found Janelle, and I've been with her for nearly 10 years. I've followed her from Sylvania to Perrysburg, and now to her fabulous salon, Fiber & Strand. Janelle's eye for detail is unparalleled; she knows exactly what suits my hair texture and understands my low-maintenance approach. Not once have I left her salon disappointed. In fact, I once checked in for an appointment, and the staff complimented my hair—Janelle hadn’t even touched it yet! Fiber & Strand embodies everything Janelle represents: upscale, stylish, and staffed by an amazing team. There's no one, except maybe Dylan, that I trust more for exceptional results and service.
I haven't gotten my hair trimmed or cut since I moved here from NYC a few years ago, and i've been nervous to start over somewhere new! Finding a great hair salon is almost like finding a therapist. First of all, the customer service at this salon is outstanding. I put in for an inquiry because it is conveniently located where I live downtown and the look of the salon reminds me of the city. But the next day the team messaged me, and they made it so easy for me to book an appointment. (Which is super super helpful for someone who is anxious about someone new working on their hair!!) They connected me with sadie the other night and i loved her. She made me feel safe, welcomed, and heard. She was SO helpful and totally helped transform my hair just by the way she styled it! She listened to my ideas but also used her professional skillset to help bring to life what I thought looked cool from my favorite artist, (Jenn Johnson) but didn't think i could pull it off. She was so patient, genuine, and kind. I was worried I couldn't do what she could with the waves and the curling iron (which i still probs can't lets be honest LOL) but she was patient to stay after and show me how to do the waves with the iron. If you're nervous about trying somewhere new, this is the place to start. If you're worried about spending more money and at a luxurious salon, what is something you can subtract from your budget? A women who takes pride in her hair should expect to pay elite stylists who care about your stunning look.. this is t h a t place. "Isn't hair a woman's pride and joy?
