Black Gold Golf Club is a captivating destination in Sugarcreek, Ohio, offering exciting fairways and breathtaking views. The course has undergone numerous improvements, including the addition of GPS in carts and new blacktop at tee boxes and greens. The course is well-maintained, with fast, smooth, and firm greens, and beautiful fairways. The restaurant, Habaneros, serves hot and excellent food, with lunch specials available. The patio and bar area outside are particularly impressive. Customers note the staff is polite and takes pride in their job, and that the greens are probably the best public greens they've ever played. The course is in tiptop shape and a great place to play and dine.
I didn’t know how to rate Black Gold Golf Club, I guess pros, course is fun, greens were slow and course shape was over all good. Cons No ball washers anywhere No bathrooms on the course No hotdogs or sandwiches ( Father’s Day Weekend advertised but we’re all out by 9:58 tee time) Service in the pro shop was non existent Not sure it’s somewhere I would drive 49 mins to again.
Most courses i play are around the mid 40s for 18 so i thought 60 was high. But after playing a round, its easy to feel your getting your moneys worth. Well kept tee boxes, immaculate greens, trash cans every hole and im not 100% but im Pretty sure every hole had ball washers too. They go the extra mile and it shows. The only downside is the terrible service we had at the mexican restaurant. Other than that 10 out of 10 well done
