“Dr. John Matta and his super staff (Lisa, Faith, Tammy, Kim, and Mary) at Refresh Dental (Boardman) are excellent, welcoming, and so friendly. I suffered with an extremely painful, badly cracked and infected tooth cut down to the jaw bone which needed extracted ASAP. Since my dentist had moved out of town, I had to search for a new dentist who would see me soon and also accept my insurance. Fortunately, I came across Dr. John Matta, and even though I had never been to this dentist office, the staff at Refresh Dental were caring and compassionate about my situation and scheduled me to see Dr. Matta immediately. When I first walked into the office I was very nervous but I instantly felt at ease because everyone greeted me with smile and such kindness and the office is spotless and inviting. Surprisingly before proceeding, Dr. Matta wanted to tell me a little about himself, describing his dental expertise and credentials, as well as his family. He listened carefully to all my questions and concerns and took the time to examine me carefully and to explain all planned procedures and options that would be necessary. He is very friendly and caring and his professionalism and candor put me at ease and made me feel confident in him as a Dental Surgeon. He is an excellent Dentist and I hardly felt any pain during my tooth extraction and bone graft. I have other procedures that need to be done soon - 2 crowns and a custom-fitted nightly mouth apparatus for sleeping, and I am very confident that they will be done with ease and just as successful as my first procedure. I highly recommend Dr. John Matta for all your dental needs at Refresh Dental in Boardman, and I'm confident that you will, too! Thank you Dr. Matta and Staff! “Great family of Dentists!. Been going to Johnson Family Dental for years. I will continue until they give me a set of dentures and send me home lol. Dr Erik and Dr Kevin are absolutely great with our 4 kids. We highly recommend if you are looking for dentists and you have small children.“

“I see everyone complaining about the doctor requesting deep cleaning prior to doing other dental work. That's good dental practice. I didn't live in the Canfield area when I had my deep cleaning, but I sure wish Dr. Amber had done the cleaning. First, it changed everything for my dental good health. Second , my old dentist had me in excruciating pain during the entire process...especially the needles. He had the hygienist do most of the work. Dr Amber has been a blessing . She is knowledgeable, doesn't request procedures as a money grab and NO PAIN. I'm sure my prior dentist did a few root canals and crowns that were unnecessary. The doctor , hygienist and entire staff are wonderful...and I'm a big baby.“
