I used to come to Hanson and talk to Robert or Aaron every week when I lived in Oberlin. This place introduced me to noise tapes and I've loved it ever since. Great selection of punk records too. They also stock lots of hard to find jazz records. All around one of the greatest record stores I've been to and an all around great time to visit!
Hanson Records is an absolute gem! A massive selection of rare and experimental finds that you can’t get anywhere else. The staff is super knowledgeable and love answering questions. A must-visit if you’re in Ohio and care about underground sound.
I rebuilt my vinyl collection at Hanson Records. Aaron and Robert know their stuff. I go back often and will continue to do so. Update: They've moved to the back space on the same floor. Much larger, and they're able to put a lot more inventory out.
