Vets are willing to make emergency calls to ensure pets receive timely assistance, as seen in critical situations requiring euthanasia or life-saving care. The clinic's commitment to pets' well-being and owners' peace of mind is evident in their service. Recently, they helped rescue an 8-week-old kitten stuck in a van chassis for 2 1/2 days, allowing her to recover beautifully at home. Over the past 9 years, they have cared for five dogs, providing useful information and working in emergency situations promptly. On a Saturday afternoon, when a cat needed urgent help and other vets refused assistance, Cold Spring responded quickly, diagnosing and preparing the cat for emergency surgery within hours. The staff, including Dr. Martin and Dan, went above and beyond to save the cat's life, sending a photo of her awake and doing well after surgery. While I have never been to this clinic in person, I can only imagine how great it is based on the people who work there. I recently lost my cat on a road trip from New York to Colorado. He escaped his harness at a gas station in Quaker City, OH. I posted in many FB groups, and one person to respond was an owner of this clinic, Dan. He was invested from the very beginning and I can't thank him enough for everything he did to assist with the search. Our family cat, Catboy was in distress. He was mouth breathing. I called them because they were the closest facility with a name I knew. It was after hours on a night before a holiday. My call was answered. I spoke to a guy named Dan. He had me send him a video of Catboy and recommended seeking the MedVet in New Albany (also highly recommend). Sadly we had to decide to euthanize Catboy. The staff I had reached at Cold Springs was so kind. Offered solid advice. He continued communication through Catboys visit at the “er”. It was like I had a friend on the inside. Knowing there was no “billable service” he still assisted with his great knowledge and compassion.

Cold Spring was lovely. I am from out of town and they were able to fit my dog in for a sick visit on short notice. Dr. Petersen took a look at my dog’s injury and got her fixed up right away.
